The Mystery of the Fence Scammer

Edmonton Man goes to great lengths to advertise that his fence is, in fact, NOT for sale!

The fence sits on an empty lot in a standard Edmonton neighbourhood, though it has not been confirmed if this is a northside or southside neighbourhood (unlikely to happen in the west end of the city). The fence is sturdy and up to par with any typical fence that guards construction areas. 

Upon closer inspection, the bizarre reason for the advertising seems to uncover a clue that leads us to believe a scam took place! This man was not driven to these measures lightly!

Precisely zero further information was given to these unfortunate circumstances, so this will remain an urban mystery.
